Education MN Days/Information Sessions

This year the Education MN Convention (formerly MEA) days will be October 17 & 18, 2019.  Most schools are not in sessions on these days and many families with high school seniors, use this an opportunity to begin their college search by visiting campuses.  Normandale Community College will offer special information sessions on both days.

Learn about Normandale's admissions procedures, available programs and degrees, student services, and more.  Find out why so many students begin their four-year degree at Normandale.  Learn how credits transfer and the resources available for a seamless transfer to the institution of your choice.

Normandale classes will not be in sessions, however, a short guided tour will be available following the information sessions for those who would like to see the campus.

Getting Started at Normandale/Information Session

Attend a general information session to learn about Normandale admission procedures, your academic program of interest, student services, and more! No RSVP required!  Most sessions start with a campus tour, see the schedule below.

Careers Programs at Normandale/Information Session

Learn about Normandale's career programs which lead to immediate employment as well as transfer options

  • Discover career opportunities in  the Health Sciences programs: Dental Hygiene, Dietetic Technology/Food Science, Nursing R.N., Nursing Assistant, Exercise Science and Community Health Worker.
  • Get an in-depth descriptions of career and transfer programs in the Division of STEM and Education:  Biology, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Engineering, Math, Elementary Education, Special Education and Vacuum and Thin Film Technology.
  • Investigate Normandale's Business and Social Sciences programs: Accounting, Business, Business-Marketing and Management, Computer Information Management, Criminal Justice, Hospitality Management, and Law Enforcement.

Campus Tours

Campus tours are offered before our Information sessions  The tour is approximately 30 minutes immediately followed by the information session.  You are invited to come for both events, or just come for the tour.   Reservations are not required.  Please check in at the Office of Admissions in the College Services Building Room Room C1035.

High School Group tours are available upon request.  Please contact us at least two weeks prior to your visit.  Maximum group size is 40.
